Burcham Hills offers gracious Independent Living Apartments with a choice of various floor plans. Here, active retirees enjoy all the comforts of home, with extra services, such as housekeeping and maintenance, allowing our residents to be more independent than ever before. Burcham Hills' ongoing commitment is to provide liberating services that foster independence and community. After all, aside from having a beautiful place to live, it's the relationships with family, friends and neighbors that make life worth living.

Personal Wellness Services

For Independent Residents

Personal Wellness Services are offered to Burcham Hills residents to supplement the services offered within his/her determined care level. In order to be eligible to receive these services, the following criteria must be met.

• The resident must meet the assessment criteria for his/her current assigned level of care based upon the BHRC admission assessment.

Exceptions:

The following exceptions will be allowed for the receipt of additional Personal Wellness Services.

• A resident is eligible for additional Personal Wellness Services for up to eight (8) weeks if the resident does not meet assessment criteria for the current assigned level of care. At the conclusion of eight (8) weeks or sooner, the resident will be re-assessed to determine proper level of care placement within the Burcham Hills Continuum.

• A resident is eligible for additional Personal Wellness Services if the resident is receiving hospice services or meets eligible criteria for hospice care. The extent of services and the period of eligibility will be determined on an individual basis per the Appropriate Placement Committee at Burcham Hills.

Services

• Personal Care Services - including assistance with dressing, bathing, grooming, one-on- one companionship, etc.

• Homemaker Services - including light housekeeping, bed making, laundry, etc.

• Mobility Assistance - including personal escort to and from any location on the Burcham Hills campus.

• Exclusive Nursing Service - including non-emergency nursing assistance.

• Medication Administration - including administration of both oral and non-oral medication, prescription reordering, communication with the physician regarding medication changes, etc.

• External Community Access Assistance - including transportation to and from greater Lansing community locations, and personal assistance while in the community.

Pricing

Personal Wellness Services are provided at an additional cost. Services are priced based on the requested services or per time involvement. Discount pricing is available for services provided on a routine basis with a monthly commitment.
