Dinner Guests

For all meals, especially holiday meals, please make your reservations early! We appreciate a 24-hour notice whenever you have guests. Each resident is entitled to one free guest meal per month. Guest meals cannot be carried over from month-to-month, given away or used on any holiday. Charges will be applied to your monthly bill, unless payment is made directly to the Business Office.

Private Dining Room

The Private Dining Room is available on the 2nd floor of the Resident Center. A $3.25 per person charge is required to cover the cost of private dining services (linens, table settings, etc) If food and refreshments are provided by Burcham Hills, there will be an additional cost based upon the menu. Please contact Hospitality Department Director at 517-827-1026 for details. To reserve this room, please contact our Receptionist at (517) 351-8377. Use of the room is free of charge if no table setting, etc, are required.

 Absence From Meals

Please notify the dining room or Receptionist if you are going to be absent from a meal or if you are dining in a different dining room. If you plan to be away overnight, please complete an absentee form which can be obtained from the dining room host.

Room Trays

When a resident requests a room tray, the resident will contact the Receptionist with their order. If the resident requests someone to come to their apartment to take their order, the Receptionist will contact the Resident Nurse who will either go to their apartment or delegate another Nursing Staff to take the resident's order. After taking the order, the Resident Nurse will give the order to the Receptionist. The Dining Room Staff will then deliver the room tray. A $5.25 delivery fee will be charged for this service (unless you are receiving the Meal Escort Service).
