Burcham Hills has it all!

For over 35 years, Burcham Hills continues to serve our elders with a reputation compared to unlike any other. By practicing our vision statement, "Atmosphere of Excellence," and our mission statement, "Dedicated to the Journey of Life," we continue to remain at the forefront of senior living services in mid-Michigan.

Burcham Hills, a not-for-profit community, provides our residents security and a peace of mind even if your needs change. We offer a full continuum of care which includes condominiums, independent living, independent plus (formerly assisted living) and memory care apartments, 24-hour skilled nursing care, sub-acute rehab services and much more. Burcham Hills is the name the greater Lansing area has trusted since 1974.

We are located in East Lansing, Michigan, and in close proximity to Michigan State University and the State Capitol, offering many cultural activities and medical and professional services. We are a month-to-month rental community located on a beautiful 38-acre campus.

Licensed under the Home for the Aged and a Skilled Nursing Facility, we are the only Continuum of Care Retirement Community (CCRC) in the greater Lansing area. Regardless of ones level of care, we respect each person's unique lifelong patterns, preferences and individual needs. This person-centered approach to care creates an atmosphere where residents remain the decision maker. Interdisciplinary communication and a team philosophy allow Burcham to provide excellent communication with the residents and their families. We also pride ourselves in providing the highest level of customer service among all staff including our housekeeping, dining services and maintenance staff.

As the only CCRC in mid-Michigan, we have the advantage to provide all levels of care to the senior population.

In 2004, we began to evaluate the culture at Burcham Hills and define what changes needed to take place to continue to grow and meet the ever changing world. Our journey with the "Eden Alternative" began formally in the Spring of 2006, when we officially became "Eden Registered." This culture change has made and will continue to make a significant impact on the lives of our elders, families and employees by building relationships, providing spontaneity and allowing our elders the opportunity to give back care; therefore, reducing loneliness, helplessness and boredom. We continue this journey together. For more information about the Eden Alternative, please go to www.edenalt.org.
